Many people have asked to have a look at the camp sites and check out the place before booking.
Due to us using a security deposit to ensure campers leave the sites clean, we cannot allow anyone to enter a camp site without a booking as we would have to check the site afterwards (which takes hours on this large property).
But what we will do to enable people to get a feel for the place and enjoy it for a day, is to admit one group of people each day to come and enjoy the 25 acre lake and our creek day areas without booking any camp site.
That is for only one single group which will have non-exclusive use of the creek-day-area and/or the lake-day-area for one day from 7am until 6pm (our campers may use these areas too, so you need to share shade areas, tables etc).
If Astronomy Tours or other evening events are happening at lake side, you will need to leave by 5:30pm at the latest.
For Day-Visitors we will charge:
on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays a minimum of $20.-, which includes 3 adults. Additional adults will be charged at $5.- each.
during week days a minimum of $12.-, which includes two adults. Additional adults will be charged at $4.- each.
We will also charge a $50 security deposit, which will be refunded if you abide by our terms and conditions, and our code of conduct, and leave no trace and take all of your rubbish with you.
Day visitors are only permitted to drive between our Kay road entrance and the lake-day-area and the creek-day-area. They are not permitted to enter any of the camp sites or their access roads.
Children below three years old will be free
Children aged from 3 to 6 years old will be charged $2.00 each
Children aged from 7 to 11 years old will be charged $3.50 each
teenagers aged from 12 to 17 years old will be charged $5.00 each
Dogs or other domestic animals
Please note that cats or dogs will not be allowed (except registered guide dogs), since this is a high-value conservation zone.
Even just the smell of dog or cat excrement will scare wildlife and make them avoid areas.
This is a place for you to come and visit a place where our native animals can live in less fear of humans, since no predators are brought along.
Any other domestic animal can be brought along only after receiving prior written permission from us, which may or may not be granted.
